The data needed by each of these groups differ:

Managers and decision makers need quite detailed, specific data.

Administrators and the general public need general information.

Keep in mind that SOLEC has a very applied focus, rather than an academic focus. We are looking at managerial issues and the application of indicators. Also, the focus is specifically on the Great Lakes basin; it is not a national focus.
