Minnesota
Sea Grant will be working with the GLEI researchers to spread the word
about the GLEI project, results, and end products to Great Lakes managers
and other interested groups. Minnesota Sea Grant will help with the
communication of project results to users by:
1. distributing
the results via workshops, fact sheets, the mass media, and its web
site;
2. assisting
users in selection of the most appropriate indicators;
3. utilizing
the Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN). GLIN consists of 7 programs
in 8 states with over 70 outreach personnel; it assists with coordination
of basin-wide activities;
4. providing
outreach communicators in each Sea Grant program to send information
to their local media and research community; and
5. working
with local stakeholders (managers, businesses, local government, and
non-governmental organizations) in all Great Lakes coastal areas.
